SA: ACF calls for Latham to recommit to River Murray

ADELAIDE, April 21 AAP - Labor leader Mark Latham should recommit to a River Murray
rescue plan while in Adelaide today, the Australian Conservation Foundation said.

Foundation executive director Don Henry said Mr Latham should also rule out forcing
a radioactive waste dump on South Australians while in Adelaide on a two-day visit starting
today.

Mr Henry said Labor had previously supported giving the River Murray an extra 1500
gigalitres of water a year - the extra flow scientists say will give the river a chance
of returning to good health.

"Now is the perfect time for Mr Latham to make clear exactly where he stands on the
Murray," Mr Henry said.
