NSW: Agriculture Minister warns of crunch time for farmers
New South Wales Agriculture Minister IAN MACDONALD says more of the sate has slippedback into drought this month and farmers now face very dire consequences if there's norain during spring.
Mr MACDONALD says 89.1 per cent of New South Wales was in drought at the start of August,up from 87.8 per cent in July.
He says rainfall has been too light and too infrequent across the state to boost water storage.
Mr MACDONALD has warned city residents they could feel the effects of a longer droughtwhen they buy their groceries.
